Jeanette qualified as a general nurse in 1997 from St Vincent’s Hospital where she worked on a ward specialising in plastic surgery with Dr Tom O’Reilly and Ms Margaret O’Donnell. She then spent two years working as nurse manager for a private plastic surgery provider. As her interest in non-surgical treatments grew, she took a position as product manager for Restylane Facial Filler with Tekno Surgical. She also trained in London to safely inject and understand facial filler treatments and how best to use them.
In 2006 Jeanette opened Renew Aesthetic Clinic with her St Vincent’s classmate Sinead Gallagher, and continued to train and update her skills over the last 10 years, attending training days with renowned injectors like Dr Micheal Prager and Dr Kate Goulding. She also obtained an advanced laser applications diploma from Manchester University, and she always finds time to attend the FACE Aesthetic conference in London. This is a must for any aesthetic practitioner as they get to see and discuss all the new aesthetic products and machines, and attend lectures and workshops that keep all their skills current.
“I have seen changes in the way we inject filler and Botox over the last five years, now we treat the face as a whole to give a natural youthful apperance to the facial features. We want to look great for our age not frozen in time. Our skin condition has also become so important to maintaining a fresh appearance. Great cosmeceutical grade skin care has made this possible.”
